The Chamber Lunch & Learn Series, presented by Southwestern Michigan College, is a free monthly event exclusively for Chamber Members. Each session dives into the current challenges and trends shaping the region, featuring insights from industry experts and a taste of local cuisine through diverse catering options from the Niles region. 

Join us on October 14th at Southwestern Michigan College’s Niles Campus (33890 US-12, Niles), Room 134, for SMC, Higher Education, Leadership, and Getting to Know Dr. Klint Pleasant - SMC President/CEO. 

Dr. Klint Pleasant serves as Chief Executive Officer and President of Southwestern Michigan College. A lifelong Michigander, he brings nearly three decades of experience in higher education to the role.

Prior to joining SMC, Dr. Pleasant served as Senior Vice President and Special Assistant to the President at Rochester Christian University in Rochester Hills, Michigan. A published author and experienced higher education leader, he has overseen enrollment management, advancement, and athletics while leading initiatives in strategic planning, student retention, community engagement, and student success. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to mentoring students and teaching in the classroom.

Dr. Pleasant earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Lipscomb University, a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Tennessee, and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Strategic Change from Lipscomb University.
