The Chamber Buzz presented by Everwise Credit Union is a free monthly breakfast for members that will feature updates from elected officials, community leaders, new chamber members, and special guests. The series is hosted by Gallery 1245 located at 1245 S. 11th Street in Niles at 8:30am on the first Wednesday of the month from February through November. It's a one-stop-shop event for members where they can learn about everything coming up in the community. This month's organizational spotlight is on Corewell Health Hospice and the Salvation Army.

Corewell Health Hospice is a local, non-profit hospice program, providing compassionate, comforting care for individuals who are experiencing a life-limiting illness. Hospice care and support are provided in private homes, long term care facilities, assisted living residences, adult foster care homes and in hospitals. They work diligently with caregivers to ensure quality care is received in any setting. Heidi Hanley is the Community Liaison for Corewell Health Hospice.

Major Nic Montgomery became an officer in The Salvation Army in 1996 and is a first-generation Salvationist. In his most recent appointment as corps officer of the Kalamazoo Corps community Center, Nic focused his efforts on ministering to staff, soldiers and volunteers in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic while serving an increased number of families and individuals in need of material, financial and spiritual assistance.  Nic helps to oversee the service organization’s operations, including pastoral and administrative services, as well as the multitude of resources offered to the community in the form of the food pantry, backpack program and other aid programs.
