The Chamber Buzz presented by Everwise Credit Union is a free monthly breakfast for members that will feature updates from elected officials, community leaders, new chamber members, and special guests. The series is hosted by Gallery 1245 located at 1245 S. 11th Street in Niles at 8:30am on the first Wednesday of the month from February through November. It's a one-stop-shop event for members where they can learn about everything coming up in the community. The organization spotlights will feature Southwestern Michigan Community Ambulance Services (SMCAS) and Cultivate Food Rescue.

SMCAS works to provide excellent patient care through medical transport services that are always on time and always focused on getting patients quickly to their treatment facility. With a dedicated team that is part of the local community that we serve, we are always focused on getting everyone the proper care that they need to reach their destination safely and securely so they can receive professional help. Josh Kay is the Operations Manager and has over 27 years of service in EMS, carries his ASM certification, and holds his Critical Care Paramedic License. Kay is known for his willingness to lend a hand when things get tough and is often seen working alongside his team to care for the community. In 2021 Josh was honored as the EMS Practitioner Of The Year for the State of Michigan for his hard work in protecting his coworkers and our community during the COVID 19 Pandemic. Our community is fortunate to have Josh’s talent and experience guiding our team through the challenges of providing high quality Emergency Medical Services.

Cultivate Food Rescue works to reduce hunger and food waste by recovering excess, quality food and redistributing it to school children, food pantries, shelters, and more. Through strategic partnerships, we are a leader in perishable food rescue, procurement, redistribution, and education in order to meet the nutritional needs of communities. Todd Zeltwanger is their Director of Fund Development.
